This Day in Wells Fargo HistoryOctober 4, 1900

Wells Fargo’s Board of Directors wired donations of $1,500 to Galveston, Texas, which had been devastated by a hurricane September 9. More than 6,000 Galvestonians died; one in six city residents. Wells Fargo also delivered relief shipments free of charge.
